We’re excited to announce a brand new feature in Orbit - Birthdays! 🥳

🎂 Birthdays

Users are now prompted to set their birthday when logging in - but don’t worry, it’s optional, and you can always skip or set it later.

You can now view upcoming birthdays for members in your workspace, so you’ll never miss a chance to send someone your best wishes!

🤵 Profiles

We've revamped profiles and added an information section allowing you to quickly view technical information about the user, and edit any mistaken details.

(Including your Birthday - Just in case you changed your mind about skipping!)

🔨 UI Tweaks

Your avatar now loads with a random color based off your UserID, to give a clean and unique feel.

Various small other UI edits and easter eggs.

We’ve rolled out a new update focused on security, performance, and a more polished user experience. Here’s what’s new:

A refreshed and more responsive login page to give you a smoother and faster experience.

New users are now required to set a secure password during signup for improved account protection.

We now cache user avatars for 3 days, reducing load times and improving performance across the app.

We’ve squashed a few minor UI bugs for better overall usability.

More improvements are on the way — thanks for being part of the journey! 💫

We’ve resolved recent issues with the API failing to deliver user data and have restructured endpoints to improve consistency and reliability.

Bugs preventing new workspace or system instances from being created have now been fully fixed. Instance provisioning should now work smoothly without errors.

You’ll now see changelogs and a clear Version ID directly in the interface.

This helps everyone stay informed on what's changed in each release .

It's time for Planetary to release a tool that most developers who use Orbit have been waiting for... Public API! 👏👏👏 (thanks max)

We encourage members to help us expand on the API's functionality (if you feel comfortable) and share it with the community!

Making an API Key is super simple, even @cloudysatrn can understand it! 😁

As a workspace administrator, you can go to the settings page, navigate over to Public API and press Create API Key!

Long gone are the times where you forget your password, Planetary allows you to reset your password to your workspace so you never get logged out again.

It's time to spice up your announcements with all new markdown, now allowing you to add a little bit a ✨ pizzazz ✨ to your wall posts! Alongside, we now added the option to delete posts to Admins and Post Authors!
